Common Council approves routine business, capital designs, grants, contracts, and schedule changes

At the May 6, 2026 Common Council meeting (16 members present, meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m., adjourned at 8:04 p.m.), the Council approved prior minutes; confirmed mayoral appointments to the Library Board and City Plan Commission; approved multiple committee action items including paving design approvals, contract awards, grant applications, license renewals, and revisions to safety and maintenance agreements; referred the Roosevelt Street paving design back to Municipal Services; denied a resolution supporting ranked-choice voting; and modified the 2026–2027 meeting schedule.
