Select Budget Committee holds informational briefings on 2026 budget proposals for HSD, CARE, SFD, SPD, and OIG

The Select Budget Committee met October 30, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. in Council Chamber to discuss councilmember amendments to the 2026 Proposed Budget (CBAs and SLIs). The committee heard informational briefings from the Office of Economic Development, Human Services Department, Community Assisted Response and Engagement, Seattle Fire Department, Seattle Police Department, and the Office of Inspector General for Public Safety. No committee votes or legislative actions were recorded. The meeting recessed by unanimous consent from 12:29 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and adjourned at 1:58 p.m. Presiding Officer: Councilmember Dan Strauss.
